Pain: do you
GET it?

Around a third of people in the UK are affected by persistent pain, pain that has lasted longer than three months.

Getting to know the science of pain can have game-changing results. This new information can change the way we think about persistent pain, what we do about it, and even how it feels.

We’re here to help you understand this science, whether you live with persistent pain, or someone you know/work with is struggling. Flippin’ your understanding of pain could change the lives of you and your loved ones forever!

What is Flippin’ Pain?

Flippin’ Pain is a public health movement, based in the UK, that explains the science of pain using six easy key messages.

They say ‘knowledge is power’: and this knowledge can help people living with pain feel safer and more in control.

We have a range of podcasts, animations, worksheets and FAQs that can help you get to grips with the latest (often surprising) science of how pain works.

We want everyone to ‘flip’ how they talk about, think about and treat persistent pain - for the better.
