Dr Jamie Watson

Dr Jamie Watson works as Lead Physiotherapist in Pain Management at the Integrated Musculoskeletal Service at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

He set up (and now leads) their Community Pain Management Service, which provides one-to-one and group based therapy to support people to live well with their pain.

He has been researching the effectiveness and experiences of pain education for seven years as a PhD student at Teesside University. He has presented his work for the Physiotherapy Pain Association at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy National Conference. He is a committee member for the Physiotherapy Pain Association and is also a member of an international group of pain education researchers known as PETAL (Pain Education Team Aspiring Better Learning).
