The awards, run by the Picker Experience Network, celebrate excellence in patient and staff experience across health and social care. They provide a platform for sharing innovation, learning from others, and recognising impactful work.

We are proud to share that Flippin’ Pain won the Independent Sector Award for their work engaging communities and ensuring lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.

The win also gave us the opportunity to present our campaign journey – “Our Story So Far” – to attendees. Reflecting afterwards, Shep summed everything up:

“It’s an honour to receive recognition from the Picker Experience Network. They work hard to champion patient involvement and experience: something that is incredibly close to our hearts, and at the core of everything Flippin’ Pain does.

“Providing opportunities for great patient involvement and experience brings joy to us all. It’s a privilege to know and work alongside such an incredible team.”

The event was energising and inspiring, and the guys at Flippin’ Pain left feeling ready to continue growing our reach and impact.

Libby said: “As always with any Flippin Pain event I’ve ever done, I leave inspired and completely buzzing with ideas!”

Julia added: “It’s so lovely promote the work we feel so passionately about.”

This award belongs to the whole Flippin’ Pain community: from our lived experience contributors to every single supporter(that includes you!). Together, we’re flippin’ the way society understands pain.
