Pain: Do you GET it? Limerick
A FREE event for anyone affected by long-term pain, streaming to Limerick!
More than 1.9 million people in the Republic of Ireland live with long-term (often called ‘chronic’) pain. For many people affected by it, chronic pain impacts their physical and mental health, their ability to work and socialise, and reduces quality of life. Unfortunately, although chronic pain is common, it's widely misunderstood.
Flippin' Pain is a public health campaign sharing the latest scientific understanding of pain with the people who need it the most. Or, as we like to put it, flippin' the way people think about, talk about, and treat chronic pain.
Our fun and informative event will introduce some of the latest, often surprising, science of PAIN, and why it could be relevant to YOU. Enjoy our easy-to-understand talk and an audience Q&A with a panel of experts, including people living with pain.
The 90-minute event will include opportunity for you to ask your questions to an expert panel, which includes people personally affected by chronic pain and specialist healthcare professionals.
Flippin' your understanding of pain could be your first step on the road to recovery: we can't wait to see you there!
