Middlesbrough Workshops: Promoting Movement
Middlesbrough Workshops: Promoting Movement
The relationship between physical activity and pain is one that is tricky to navigate. It is riddled with misunderstanding and misinformation. It poses a significant – often daily – challenge for those affected by persistent pain, as well as health and exercise professionals who are tasked with supporting them. But we can help!
When Pain Gets in the Way is a series of two afternoon workshops, helping you to get a better understanding of pain science. These sessions will help you make sense of why movement often hurts, explain why it’s still important to keep moving, and give practical advice on how to get better outcomes for ourselves and our clients.
All professionals who promote active lifestyles in their role are welcome to join.
Session information
Session 1 will be on Tuesday 10 September. It will be held at 131 the Venue, Middlesbrough, and will focus on the (surprising) science of pain.
Session 2 will be on Tuesday 24 September. It will be held at Inspire2Learn, Middlesbrough, and will focus on putting our new knowledge into practice.
Lunch will be provided on both days.
Please note: ideally, all attendees need to be able to attend session 1.
Can only attend session 2? Email us for more info.
