FLIPPIN’ everything you thought you knew about PAIN

A free public seminar for everyone, coming to Skegness on Tues 14th September

Flippin' Pain presents...

FLIPPIN’ everything you thought you knew about PAIN: Skegness

An event for EVERYONE, but especially those affected by persistent or chronic pain.

Pain: do you get it?… it’s estimated that between one third and one half of UK adults live with longstanding (a.k.a. chronic or persistent) pain. Recent decades have seen huge increases in the use of scans, medications and surgery in efforts to pinpoint and then reduce pain, but the numbers of people living with persistent pain and their overall health outcomes show no sign of improving. Pain is common, but it’s also complex and misunderstood.

Flippin’ Pain is public health campaign dedicated to changing the way we think about, talk about, and treat persistent pain. Closing the gap between what modern pain scientists know about pain and public understanding. Bringing the science of pain to the people… those who need it most.

Join Professor Cormac Ryan – Community Pain Champion for the Flippin’ Pain campaign – and a panel of pain experts (including people living with persistent pain) for this fun, informative, free and easy to understand public seminar introducing some of the latest, often surprising scientific understanding of pain.

Flippin’ your understanding of pain could be your first step on the journey to recovery.
