Wednesday 12 July:

An entertaining evening of pain education coming to the Isle of Man

This event will be delivered by Flippin' Pain on behalf of Manx Care.

Pain: Do you Get It?

    Wednesday 12 July

PAIN: DO YOU GET IT? is an entertaining and easy-to-understand look at some of the latest, often surprising, science of pain delivered by leading pain experts.

The 90 minute event will include opportunity for audience questions with an expert panel including people personally affected by chronic pain and specialist healthcare professionals.

Meet our panel:

More than 28 million people in the UK live with chronic (or long-term) pain. For many people affected by it, chronic pain impacts their physical and mental health, their ability to work and socialise, and reduces quality of life. Unfortunately, although chronic pain is common, it’s widely misunderstood.

Flippin’ Pain is a public health campaign sharing the latest scientific understanding of pain with the people who need it the most. Or, as we like to put it, flippin’ the way people think about, talk about, and treat chronic pain.

We will also be conducting a workshop for healthcare professionals on Thursday 13 July. Find out more HERE.

Due to the restricted capacity of our venues, please inform us if you can no longer attend so that your place can be reallocated to someone else. If venue capacity is reached, ticket sales will be halted and any additional delegates will be placed on a waiting list until tickets become available.

Similar versions of this event designed for a public (non-health professional) audience are also available.
