A video about acceptance and commitment therapy: a process aimed at reducing the ‘battle’ with pain and taking committed action to move towards your values.

Professor Tamar Pincus said: “It took me a long time to understand that acceptance was not the same as giving up or losing hope, but instead I’ve come to see it as a conscious decision to completely engage with life, including pain. There is plenty of evidence and science behind the approach, but here I wanted to introduce the way I think about it. It’s really simple (which doesn’t make it easy!).”
